Mr. Bankhardt
began building sturdy travel trunks back in
1869. To put that in perspective, in 1869, the
Suspension Bridge between Cincinnati and
Northern Kentucky was just completed, the only
thing you parked in the family garage was a
horse and carriage, the only people who talked
about airplanes were dreamers and futurists, and
travel was an adventure in every sense of the
word.
Times have
changed. The Suspension Bridge between
Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky is over 130
years old. We use our trucks and trailers to
move our horses. Its no big deal to hop on an
airplane and venture off on a day trip to
another city. Travel, thankfully, is still an
adventure, though it sure is safer and more
convenient than in years past.
And
Bankhardt's? Well, we don't manufacture travel
trunks anymore, but we're still the experts in
